Conference registration includes workshop attendance, handouts, breakfast or refreshments during the meetings and documentation of continuing education credit*.

Spouses, family and friends are welcome and do not need to register unless they attend the educational sessions. Special seminar fees are available for non-professional accompanying persons who wish to attend one or more session (no special receipt, certification or credit issued).

Biologic Drugs in Diabetes

  • Assess the latest guidelines for the management of type 2 diabetes and how the role of cardiovascular outcome studies has altered the traditional approaches to treatment.
  • Describe the latest pharmacologic approaches to patient-centered management of type 1 and 2 diabetes.
  • Differentiate key pharmacodynamic and kinetic differences among the new insulin (including biosimilar) products and how these compare to more established products.
  • Describe the ideal candidates for diabetes technology including continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps and hybrid closed-loop systems .
  • Identify patient-centered glucose defects when reviewing glucose data from continuous glucose monitoring and self-monitoring glucose data.
  • Apply your understanding of diabetes treatments/technologies to patients with either type 1 and 2 diabetes.
