  • Determine the patient’s COPD Group (A-D) per GOLD guidelines by utilizing a patient’s CAT or mMRC symptom scores and exacerbation history.
  • Select appropriate non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic therapies for the management of stable COPD by utilizing the patient’s COPD Group (A-D) as a guide.
  • Compare and contrast the efficacy, administration (route and frequency), cost, and safety of medications used in the management of stable COPD and acute exacerbations of COPD.
  • Select appropriate drug therapy for a patient with an acute COPD exacerbation.
  • Discuss the pros and cons of the various inhaled devices approved and in the pipeline for the management of COPD.
