How University Learning Systems is bringing LIVE, ONLINE, & RECORDED Continuing Education to You!

We all love to travel to exciting, exotic, and romantic destinations and even more so if we can earn our CE and CME while relaxing at a luxurious resort or on a cruise ship. University Learning Systems has specialized in getting you to luxurious destinations and presenting timely, evidenced based CME while you relax since 1979. It is what we do and many of you have said that our programs were the best you ever attended. Then COVID hit the world and we all fell down.
Our last live conference of 2020 was a 7-Day Tropical Caribbean aboard the new Holland America ship, MS Nieuw Statendam. Our speakers were Dr. Kevin C. O’Connor, D.O., FAAFP, Associate Professor of Medicine, Senior Medical Advisor, Health Sciences, The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences and Mr. Harrison Reed, PA-C, Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences and Editor in Chief of the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. What a difference a week makes- that cruise was the calm before the storm. COVID was barely part of our lexicon. We left port with faint rumblings of concern and admonitions to wash our hands; we returned to employer mandated quarantines, closed schools and shortages of toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
Since then we have had to cancel or reschedule our live seminars. None of this was done lightly. COVID has precipitated so many challenges over the last few months. Many of our faculty members and customers have reported employer mandated travel restrictions, many others agreed that crowded public places and air travel should be avoided. Some states have instituted mandatory quarantines or disallowed entrance from other high infection rates states. Restaurants, bars, and casinos in conference destinations were shut down. We even had a cruise ship sold out from underneath us!
We all still need CE or CME and some of us still need live credit, so what to do? In the interest of protecting our customers, faculty, and staff, we are temporarily moving our CE and CME activities to cyberspace where the air is cool and clean and only viruses that infect computers are pandemic. We have temporarily switched our focus to live webinars with our same drug therapy orientation. When presented as a live webinar, this fulfills live credit requirements. The same presentation is them recorded to and listed on our learning management system (LMS) providing home study credit.

Conclusion
We all want to head off to exciting destinations, but our job now both as health professionals and as responsible citizens is to defeat COVID. To those of you on the front lines of patient care, we applaud you and are very grateful for your service. For those who have the luxury to stay home or work remotely, do so and wear a mask when you leave home. COVID may be changing the way we interact with each other, but we still have a beautiful planet to explore. In the interim, we have many live online and recorded online continuing education options for you.
Until we meet again. Stay safe.
