What is Trulance?

Trulance is used in adults to treat a type of constipation called chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC). “Idiopathic” means the cause of the constipation is unknown. Once-daily Trulance may provide more regular, well-formed bowel movements for adults with CIC.

How do you measure treatment success?

The Bristol Stool Form Scale is a visual representation of 7 different types of bowel movements that patients can have.

  • Well-formed bowel movements are sometimes referred to as a “4” on the Bristol Stool Form Scale.
  • A “4” is a measurement that is widely considered by healthcare professionals to be the goal of constipation treatment.
