Learning Objectives
1.Describe pharmacologic properties and considerations of various forms of contraception. 2. Identify key recommendations and updates for contraception, emergency contraception, and abortive therapy. 3. Evaluate the use of various forms of contraception in specific patient cases and scenarios. 4. Describe the epidemiology and pathophysiology of osteoporosis.5. Identify appropriate medical management strategies and medications for the treatment of osteoporosis. 6. Discuss various side effect profiles and considerations for the medications used in the treatment of osteoporosis. 7. Identify updated USPTF preventative screening recommendations pertinent to pharmacy practice. 8.Discuss strategies for pharmacist driven implementation of preventative screening measures. 9. Recognize updates in pregnancy and lactation categories for medications. 10.Discuss specific patient considerations related to updated pregnancy and lactation considerations .
