Attrition Surcharge Policy

Rational: Unfortunately we have recently experienced a rash of attendees not utilizing the University Learning Systems(ULS)  designated hotel or travel agent causing ULS to incur significant financial penalties. This has  necessitated  an increased surcharge fee and the enforcement of this policy. CE/CME credit for violations of our attrition policy will not be provided until the attrition surcharge is paid. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Hotel Room Attrition Surcharge: If you do not reserve your room and stay  at the hotel where University Learning Systems has reserved a block of rooms, you must add the attrition surcharge to the conference fee. The 2023/2024 Hotel Attrition Surcharge is $200 and must be paid prior to credit being reported for attendees who do not stay at the ULS designated hotel. Staying at hotel with an offer other than the ULS Group Code such as through a third party booking, still requires payment of the Attrition Surcharge.  Attendee room  reservations will be verified with the hotel. In recent months there has been widespread abuse of our policy resulting in significant financial penalties incurred by University Learning Systems necessitating the enforcement of this policy. Hotel reservations will be verified with the hotel.

Cruise Seminars Attrition Surcharge: University Learning Systems uses Continuing Education Inc. as our travel agent. Attendees  who book cabins with a travel agent other than Continuing Education Inc. will incur a $300.00 attrition surcharge. Cruise attendee cabin reservations will be verified with the Continuing Education Inc.

Enforcement
CE/CME credit for violations of our attrition policy will not be provided until the attrition surcharge is paid.
The Attrition Surcharge is waived for commuting students who live within driving distance of the seminar location.

THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM UNIVERSITY LEARNING SYSTEMS.
