About ULS

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about ULS courses, credit, and registration.

Find quick answers about course formats, pharmacology credit, attendance, registration, and self-paced learning.

Who Can Participate?

ULS activities are designed primarily for pharmacists, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, and registered nurses. Other healthcare professionals may participate but should confirm acceptance with their own licensing board.

What Course Formats Are Available?

ULS offers live in-person destination seminars, live-streamed seminars, and self-paced on-demand courses recorded from selected live programs.

Do Courses Provide Pharmacology Hours?

Yes. ULS specializes in pharmacology continuing education, and its courses are designed to provide pharmacology credit as specified on each course page.

How Are Programs Kept Current and Unbiased?

Subject-matter experts develop or review course content using current clinical guidelines, regulatory changes, and pharmacology evidence. ULS does not solicit or accept pharmaceutical-company grants and is committed to fair, balanced education.

How Are Live Seminars Scheduled?

A typical destination program provides 15 hours of education over three days, with sessions commonly scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. so participants have time to explore the destination.

What Is Required for Credit?

Live and Zoom credit requires verified attendance and completion of evaluations. On-demand credit requires completion of the video, assessment, and evaluation. No partial credit is awarded for incomplete sessions or course components.

When Is Credit Issued?

Pharmacy credit is reported to CPE Monitor. Other healthcare professionals can obtain a statement of credit after the live session or after completing every component of an on-demand course. Eligible credit may also be reported to CE Broker when the required license information is provided.

How Does CPE Monitor Work?

ULS must report pharmacist credit electronically using the learner’s NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth. Learners should review their CPE Monitor account promptly because NABP applies a 60-day reporting and correction window.

How Do On-Demand Courses Work?

Recorded programs include the faculty presentation, slides or handouts, an assessment, and an evaluation. Most individual courses provide approximately five hours, while bundles provide additional hours. Learners can pause and resume and generally have one year to complete the course.

Is Recorded Pharmacy Education Live Credit?

No. ACPE classifies recorded courses as home-study credit because the instructor is not available for real-time questions. A live Zoom program can qualify as live credit when participants can interact with the presenter.

Does Registration Include Lodging?

No. Participants arrange lodging separately. ULS typically negotiates a discounted room block with a reservation deadline. Course pages provide the applicable hotel details and group code.

Are Discounts Available?

Live programs generally offer advance-registration pricing. Loyalty and group discounts may also be available. Current amounts and deadlines appear on the individual course page.

What Is the Cancellation Policy?

Advance written notice is required. Fees, transfer options, and cutoffs are described on the Seminar Policies page and may be supplemented by terms shown for the specific program.

How Long Are Materials Available?

Course materials remain in the learning management system, but ULS recommends downloading them within one year of completing the activity.
