About University Learning Systems
Website privacy
How we measure public website use while limiting the information retained about visitors.
Anonymous website measurement
University Learning Systems records anonymous visits to public information and course pages so we can understand which pages are useful, identify slow pages, and see broad geographic and device patterns.
For these first-party measurements, we store the page path without query parameters, server response time, a coarse device category, the referring website's hostname, and a country code when our hosting provider supplies one.
Network addresses
The application converts the visiting network address into a keyed one-way digest before saving the visit. It does not store the raw IP address. The digest helps count repeat connections, but it is not treated as proof of a person's identity because homes, workplaces, mobile providers, and VPNs can share or change network addresses.
What is not connected to these visits
The anonymous visit record does not contain or connect to a user ID, name, email address, professional profile, registration, payment, or course result. It does not store URL query strings, complete browser user-agent strings, password-reset pages, account pages, administrative pages, or health checks.
Retention
Detailed anonymous visit records are automatically deleted after 90 days. Access to the resulting report is limited to system administrators.
