New Drugs, Long Covid Protocols, Post Herpetic Neuralgias

New Drug Update 2023:

1) Identify new primary care medications approved in 2022-23.

2) Discuss the use, side effects, drug-drug interactions, and benefits of each of the medications.

3)Discuss updates related to labeling, indications, risks associated with various medications.

Outpatient Protocols for Post-COVID (Long-COVID) Syndrome: Acute Management and Long-Term Surveillance :

4. Review diagnostic criteria for Post-Covid Syndrome.

5. Identify symptoms associated with Post-Covid Syndrome.

Discuss treatment options for the patient with post-covid syndrome. Post Herpetic Neuralgias:

1. Describe the etiology and pathophysiology of herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia.

2. Identify signs and symptoms of herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia.

3. Discuss acute treatment options for the individual with herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia
