Credit guidance

Accreditation and approvals

Applicable live seminars and selected recorded programs are approved for AAFP Prescribed Credit.
AAFP Prescribed Credit is accepted by the AMA as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award; it must be reported as Prescribed Credit when required.
Other boards and professional organizations may accept applicable AAFP credit under their current policies; physicians should verify their own reporting requirements.
